Privacy Policy

GlobeSO is a social shopping app from Cambodia: you can post photos and videos, chat, and buy from Cambodian shops, CloudNET stores and imports from China. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can delete it. ភាសាខ្មែរ ↓

1. What we collect

• Account: your phone number (it is your login), and the name and profile photo you choose to add. If you sign in with a linked account, we store which account it is. If you use Continue with Facebook or Sign in with Apple, we receive from them only your user id for GlobeSO, your name and, if you allow it, your e-mail address — never your password, friends or posts.
• What you post: posts, photos, videos, captions, comments, likes, follows and product reviews. Posts are public on GlobeSO.
• Messages: chats with shops and with GlobeSO support, including photos you send in them.
• Shopping: your cart, favourites, the products you view, orders, delivery addresses and the contact phone for delivery, the payment method you choose (cash on delivery, wallet, or a bank-transfer slip you upload), and any dispute you open.
• If you sell: your shop name and the products, photos and prices you list.
• Device and technical data: a push-notification token so we can notify you, your language and theme settings, and standard server logs (IP address, time, the request made) that we keep to run and protect the service.
• Camera and photos: the app opens your camera or photo library only when you choose to add a photo or video. We receive only the files you pick.

We do not collect your location, contacts or microphone, and we do not use advertising trackers or sell your data.

2. How we use it

• To run your account and show your posts, messages and orders.
• To process and deliver orders, collect payment and handle returns and disputes.
• To send notifications you asked for (orders, messages, activity on your posts).
• To keep GlobeSO safe: prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our rules.
• To improve the app, using aggregate usage (for example, which categories are popular).

Photos and videos you upload are compressed to save your data; this does not change who can see them.

3. Who we share it with

• The shop you buy from (including CloudNET partner stores): your name, delivery address, phone and order details, so they can fulfil the order.
• Delivery partners: what they need to deliver the parcel.
• Service providers who run the service for us under contract: cloud hosting and storage (DigitalOcean, Amazon Web Services), network protection and content delivery (Cloudflare), and push notifications (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, Apple Push Notification service).
• Authorities when Cambodian law requires it.

Everyone can see what you post publicly and your public profile. Chats are visible only to the people in them and to GlobeSO support when you contact support.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account (section 5) we erase your profile and content straight away. Orders, payments and disputes are kept, under the name “Deleted user”, for as long as accounting and tax law requires, because they are also the seller’s records. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security.

5. Deleting your account and your rights

In the app or on globeso.com: Account → Delete account. This erases your profile, name and photo, posts (with their photos and videos), comments, likes, follows, favourites, browsing history, reviews, saved addresses, cart, notifications and sign-in sessions, and unpublishes any shop products, and removes the link to your Facebook or Apple account. If your wallet still holds money, spend or withdraw it first.

6. Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Sign-in codes are stored only as hashes, and private files such as dispute evidence are kept in private storage, reachable only through short-lived links.

7. Children

GlobeSO is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.
